The Precision of Silence

The exhibition Silverthorne – The Precision of Silence is the first European retrospective of the work of American photographer Jeffrey Silverthorne (°1946). Using polaroids, staged shots, portraits and work that borders on documentary in style, Silverthorne playfully explores such diverse subjects as death, sex and old age.

After three successful exhibitions, The Bank "Arts Centre and Cafe " is pleased to announce a fantastic August summer event, a brand new literary/arts crossover festival running throughout the whole month! 'Art is the Word' is a celebration of the written/spoken word expressed through the means of literature, script, visual arts and film. Our exhibition is the centrepiece of this event, and will run alongside the café.
